Melting Snowmen Sugar Cookies

Making melted snowmen sugar cookies is a perfect way to bring in the holidays.  Even if it is too cold where you live for a real snowman to melt, these snowmen will bring joy and happiness to everyone in your household.

Ingredients:

            Icing

  • 2 cups of confectionary sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of milk
  • 4 tablespoons of light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

            Cookies

  • 1 package of sugar cookie mix
  • all items that package requires
            Decorations

  • Marshmallows
  • M & M’s
  • Red icing
  • Black writing gel
  • Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

Directions:

Start by preparing and baking sugar cookies according to instructions on package.  Allow cookies to cool completely.  Prepare icing by placing confectionary sugar into a mixing bowl.  Add milk, vanilla extract and light corn syrup while mixing.  Mix until it reaches a sticky yet creamy consistency.  Add more milk if needed to make it creamier.  Place in piping bag and begin to pipe icing on cookies.  Place marshmallows and M &M’s on top of the icing to secure them.  Allow to cool and using a black writing gel, apply face and arms.  Use red for nose and scarf.  Attack a mini Reese’s to the top of the marshmallow with icing.

Kids will love these cookies.  Thanks for reading and as always you can see how I did it here:
