WWE Wrestling Belt Cake

Recently, a viewer requested that I make a WWE Wrestling Belt cake.  When I seen this request I was thrilled to make the cake.  I had made a WWE Wrestling ring cake before and everyone loved it.  It was a lot of work but it was fun to make.

I started out by making a firm cake that would be easy to cut to shape.  Then covered it with fondant and decorated it with colored candy melts.

Black Fondant: http://amzn.to/2jsjAHS

Ingredients:
     - 1 cup sugar
     - 1/3 cup soften butter
     - 2 eggs
     - 1 1/2 cups flour
     - 2 teaspoons baking powder
     - 1/2 teaspoon salt
     - 1 cup milk
     - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
     - buttercream frosting
     - black fondant
     - candy melts (yellow, red and white

Directions:
  1. Start by blending sugar and butter until well combined.  Add eggs one at a time.
  2. In a separate bowl add four, baking powder and salt and mix well.
  3. Add dry mixture to the wet half at a time and mix well.  Add half the milk mixture and mix well.  Mix in vanilla then add remainder of dry mixture and milk mixture.
  4. Add batter to a 9 x 13 inch pan and bake for 25 - 30 minutes at 350 degrees F.  Let cool and remove from pan.  Cut out belt shape using a printed template.
  5. Join pieces with buttercream frosting and coat the entire cake.
  6. Roll out black fondant and cover cake.  Trim excess.
  7. Using colored candy melts or chocolate, draw the design on the cake.
