Mountain Dew Infused Pickles

See how to make these Mountain Dew Infused Pickles.  This is a fun recipe to make with the kids.  Maybe you have heard of Koolickles, they are pickles infused with Kool-Aid.  Well, I decided to see if I could infuse pickles with Mountain Dew.

Mountain Dew comes in many different flavors so I wanted to see if the choice of flavor will affect the taste.  I used Original Mountain Dew, Code Red and Voltage.  It also provides for some very colorful choices.  

The recipe is very simple.  All you need is a jar of pickles and 2 cups of a Mountain Dew flavor of your choosing.  It does take some patients however.  The recipe will take a total of 7 days to be ready so plan accordingly.  

If you would like your colors to be brighter you can add food coloring.  This won’t affect the flavor but will make for some nice photos.

Ingredients: 

- 1 Jar Pickles

- 2 cups Mountain Dew

- 1 cup pickle juice

- 1/2 cup sugar

- 2 drops food coloring (optional)
