Minion Pudding

If you have kids you probably know exactly what a Minion is!  Minions are those cute little yellow  animated characters that seem to be on every product being sold to kids.  I personally love these fun little characters.  When I was trying to decide on a dessert to bring to my family reunion earlier this month, naturally I had Minions on my mind.

I decided on making banana pudding and I put the pudding in some small takeaway bowls that I had on hand.  Then I decorated the pudding using different colors of candy wafers (candy melts) and sliced bananas.

These were not only a big hit with the children but also with the adults.  To top things off, each person had their own individual serving.

Ingredients:
  • 6.8 oz Vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 banana sliced
  • candy wafers
    • white, grey, brown
optional
  • 2 cups cool whip

  1. Start by adding the pudding mix to a medium bowl and blend in the milk.
  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk and mix well.
  3. Fold in vanilla extract.
  4. If you want a lighter pudding, fold in cool whip.
  5. Dish out into individual round serving dishes and smooth the tops.
  6. Slice a banana into thins slices and place 2 on each pudding serving as eyes.
  7. Melt your candy wafers and place in plastic bags with a small corner cutout for piping.
Pipe out the eyeballs, mouth, hair and goggle straps using brown.  Pipe grey around the banana
      slices.
You can choose to either draw directly on the pudding or on wax paper first and transfer on to the pudding after they dry.
8.  Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and then serve.
