How to Make a Giant Creme Egg - Halloween Creme Egg

Halloween isn't the time that you typically think about eggs, especially not giant Creme Eggs.  But I am not a typical person and I don’t make the typical desserts on my FunFoodsYT youtube channel.

This year I thought I would do something different and make a Halloween creme egg.  I was going to color the inside of the egg with Halloween colors but decided to decorate the outside with Halloween colors.

Ingredients:
     - candy melts (orange, green, purple and milk chocolate)
     - 4 cups confectionary sugar (for each half)
     - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for each half)
     - 1/8 - 1/4 cup water (for each half)

Directions:
  1. Start by melting each of you colored candy melts.  Place in piping bags and line the egg mold in a zig-zag pattern.  Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Melt chocolate candy melts and coat the egg mold evenly.  Place in refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.  Repeat 2 or 3 more times to get the desired thickness.  Should be about 1/4 -1/2 inch thick.
  3. In a large bowl, add confectionary sugar, vanilla extract and water then mix well.  Add to the inside of your set chocolate egg and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  4. Carefully remove the chocolate from the mold and repeat steps 1-3 for the second half of the egg.
