How to Make Mountain Dew Pancakes

How to Make Mountain Dew Pancakes

How to Make Mountain Dew Pancakes

See how to make these homemade Mountain Dew Pancakes.  Pancakes are one of my favorite breakfast foods.  After all, it is cake for breakfast.  So recently I have been making lots of recipes using Mountain Dew as an ingredient.  A few weeks ago I made Mountain Dew Popcorn and I had to make a Mountain Dew syrup to use in that recipe.  Since I had extra syrup when I was done with this recipe I started to think about other recipes I could use the syrup in.  I decided on Mountain Dew Pancakes.

Here is what you will need to make these:

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup Mountain Dew soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extra
  • food coloring (optional)
Supplies

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl add flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, Mountain Dew, egg, melted butter and vanilla extra.  Mix until well combined.
  2. Add food coloring and mix.
  3. Pour on a hot griddle and cook until bubbles form on the top of the pancakes then flip.  Cook for another 60 seconds and plate.
  4. Top with homemade Mountain Dew Syrup and serve.
