Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

Have you ever wanted a particular candy or treat but you didn’t feel like making a trip to the store to get it?  Sure it might be easier to travel to the store to get it but I like to make stuff on my own.

One of my favorite candies is Reese’s Peanut Butter cups.  So I decided to make my own.  This is probably one of the easiest recipes out there.

Ingredients:

  • Hershey Chocolate chips or bars
  • ½ cup of Peanut butter
  • ¼ cup of Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of butter

Directions:

Start by melting chocolate.  If using a microwave, only melt 30 seconds at a time to prevent burning.  Pour a small amount of chocolate into small cupcake liner.  Place chocolate in the refrigerator for about 10-15 to harden.  While the chocolate is hardening, in a medium bowl add peanut butter, sugar and butter.  Then place the bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds.  Stir mixture and when your chocolate is hardened, add a small amount of the peanut butter mixture on top of the hardened chocolate.  Place back in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.  Take out of the refrigerator and add a final layer of chocolate.  Place back in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.  After it hardens, remove and serve.

Fun, easy and delicious!
