Easter is a holiday filled with all kinds of fun candy and snacks. Why not take a couple of those snacks and combine them then decorate them for the occasion. That’s what I did and Easter pretzel chicks were born.
Ingredients:
Pretzels
(optional) Black writing gel
wax or parchment paper
piping or plastic bag
Directions:
Start by melting your yellow candy melts. If you use the microwave, only put in for 30 seconds at a time stirring in between. Place the pretzels on wax paper. Put melted candy melts in a piping bag and cut a hole to squeeze the candy melts out of. Fill each of the pretzels with the melted candy melts. Let cool until firm to the touch then melt the orange candy melts and place in another piping bag. Cut a small hole and pipe a small triangle near the top as the chicks’ beak. Use black writing gel or melted dark chocolate to form an eye. Let cool and harden then serve.
