Summer is coming to a close here in the US as kids return to school. When most people think of summer snacks they think of S’Mores. Here is my take on the summertime treat.
Ingredients:
- graham crackers
- chocolate bars (for the inside of the s’more)
- marshmallows
- Chocolate to melt for the outside
Directions:
- Start by breaking in half and laying out graham crackers good side down on a cookie sheet.
- Cover the tops of half of the graham crackers with marshmallows.
- Place in a pre-heated oven at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.
- Unwrap chocolate bars and break to size.
- Remove the graham crackers from oven and place chocolate bar onto of marshmallows then cover with the graham cracker that had no marshmallows.
- Let cool.
- Melt chocolate in microwave in 20 second intervals until completely melted
- Dip s’more sandwiches in chocolate and place on wax paper.
- Allow to cool, then serve.
This is a fun recipe and you can add a popsicle stick in-between the s’mores if you wish to have them as pops.
