How to Make Poo Emoji's

If you have spent any amount of time online or used text messages recently, you are familiar with the latest trend of using emoji’s in these conversations.  Emoji’s are the little picture that people insert in a text to convey emotion or to enhance comedic effect.  Most emoji’s are faces that either show happiness, sadness or other common emotions but my favorite emoji’s are the unusual pictures.  My favorite is the Poo emoji (poop that is smiling).  

So I decided to make this Poo emoji in life form and make it edible for fun. 

Ingredients:

• 4 egg whites
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup sugar
• candy melts (black, white and chocolate)

Directions:

1. Start by whisking egg whites until it doubles in size.  Add sugar 1 tablespoon at a time.  Mix in vanilla extract.  You will know its done with the mixture is shiny and forms stiff peaks. 
2. Place in a piping bag and pipe an ice cream swirl on some baking paper.  Bake in a 225 degree pre-heated oven for 90 minutes.  Then turn off oven and leave inside for 1 hour.  
3. Melt some black candy melts.  Print out a poo emoji the size of your meringue’s.  Place under some wax paper.  Pipe the black candy melts on the wax paper tracing the eye balls. Let dry.
4. Melt some white candy melts and pipe tracing the eyes and the mouth.  Let dry.  
5. Melt some chocolate candy melts and dip your meringue’s in the chocolate.  Let dry.
6. Remove the dryer eyes and mouth and place on your chocolate meringue using a small amount of melted candy melts.
