One of the most simple, yet delicious desserts I enjoy eating is chocolate covered bananas. While these fun treats are excellent just as they are, I thought I can make them even better. How, you ask? It’s simple. Just add peanut butter!
There have been many treats with the combination of both peanut butter and chocolate. Why not combine these lovely ingredients with bananas?
So this is exactly what I did. Here is what you need to make this recipe:
Ingredients:
- Bananas
- Peanut butter
- Chocolate or candy melts
Directions:
- Start by adding peanut butter to a tall microwave safe cup. Melt until it is runny enough to dip a banana in.
- Peel your bananas and dip about 2/3 of the banana into the peanut butter. Place on some wax paper and let harden. You can refrigerate for faster setting.
- Melt chocolate in another tall microwave safe cup. Dip the peanut butter covered bananas into the chocolate covering most of the peanut butter. Return to wax paper and let set.
- (Optional) Decorate the finished bananas with a drizzle of melted peanut butter.
- Let set and serve.
